The moment that Eastbourne stopped the Double Diamond Dreams, Lee Richardson returns to the pits after winning heat 12.
But there was still more action to follow - this is heat 15 with Dave Watt (red 5) inside of Scott Nicholls (1), Chris Holder (blue) and Edward Kennett (yellow)

The Pirates settle for second best
After an unbelievable debut Elite league season Chris Holder is all packed and ready now for the trip back home, Let's hope we see him back again in 2009

After that powerful start the Poole camp try to calculate just how soon it will be before they are proclaimed champions. Freddie Eriksson (left) and Dave Watt (right) consult with team manager Neil Middleditch and the pit crew.
And it wasn't long before they were celebrating as a group

And time to share the celebrations with the masses of Poole fans that had turned out to cheer the Castle Cover Pirates on to victory

A regular at winning trophies with Poole but this time it is in his capacity as Poole captain that Bjarne Pedersen holds the League Championship trophy aloft. What a proud moment for the quiet Dane
