Ref: Tony Steele
Conditions: Sunny, but clouds approaching. Track looks OK
Gate positions: Poole lose the coin toss - off 2 & 4.

Ht 1: Dryml, ERIKSSON, Howe (r/r), HOLDER (fell/ex) 4-2 (4-2) 56.4
David Howe - rider replacement. Holder was trying to improve on fourth place and rode straight into Howe on the 4th turn and is excluded. Eriksson was second at the time. In the re-run, it was a good ride by Freddie under siege - twice he almost squeezed down the inside of Dryml.

Ht 2: ZETTERSTROM, DAVIDSSON, Hansen, Hefenbrock 1-5 (5-7) 56.1
Two very sharp gates by the Pirates for maximum points.

Ht 3: PEDERSEN, Iversen, Klindt, SKORNICKI 3-3 (8-10) 55.9
Pedersen gated, but then Iversen took the lead with Bjarne striking straight back.

Ht 4: Hanson, Howe, WATT, DAVIDSSON 5-1 (13-11) 56.7
Watt missed the chance of splitting the home pair.

Ht 5: HOLDER, Iversen, ERIKSSON, Klindt 2-4 (15-15) 55.6
Great ride by Holder, hitting back after Iversen had gone inside. Good race.

Ht 6: Dryml, WATT, Hansen (r/r), ZETTERSTROM 4-2 (19-17) 56.9
Kenneth Hansen - rider replacement. Watt had to re-pass Hansen to save any blushes!

Ht 7: PEDERSEN, Howe, SKORNICKI, Hefenbrock 2-4 (21-21) 56.5
Slow from the tapes, Skornicki made a good first turn but couldn't hold off Howe.

Ht 8: Dryml, ZETTERSTROM (r/c), ERIKSSON, Hansen 3-3 (24-24) 56.9
Reserve change - Zetterstrom for Davidsson. Good ride by Dryml with a back straight outside pass, Steve admits to fearing a heat defeat in that one!

Ht 9: Iversen , WATT, Klindt, ZETTERSTROM (e/f) 4-2 (28-26) 59.0
Iversen 3rd to 1st, his pass on Zetterstrom ended in Magnus pulling up. The pass on Watt made to look easy as Davey showed his hand too soon.

Ht 10: SKORNICKI, PEDERSEN, Iversen (r/r), Dryml 1-5 (29-31) 57.4
NK Iversen - rider replacement. Adam made it from the inside gate and Bjarne did well protecting him as Iversen threw everything into it.

Ht 11: HOLDER, Howe, ERIKSSON, Hefenbrock (fell/ex) 2-4 (31-35) 57.0
Flying Freddie couldn't fool Steele - all four back. Holder made the gate in the re-run but the race was stopped when Hefenborck over-cooked it on the 4th turn and fell heavily. Suspected left hand injury sustained. Third time of asking and Eriksson missed the one chance offered up to him by Howe, but Holder was smooth out front.

*~* INTERVAL *~*

Ht 12: Iversen, PEDERSEN, Hansen, DAVIDSSON (r/c) 4-2 (35-37) 57.1
Davidsson reserve change for Zetterstrom. Pedersen tried every route possible but couldn't break Iversen.

Ht 13: Howe, HOLDER, Dryml, WATT 4-2 (39-39) 56.9
Diabolically unfair start as Dryml got an absolute flier but went unpunished. Holder was able to get by but Howe was just too fast.

Ht 14: Klindt, SKORNICKI, Hansen (r/c), ZETTERSTROM (r/c) (ex unfair riding) 4-2 (43-41) 57.3
Hansen for Hefenbrock and Zetterstrom for Davidsson. Skornicki battled to the front and Zetterstrom joined him, then left Klindt nowhere to go on the 4th bend. No actual contact but Magnus excluded - bit heated there says Steve! Re-run and Sqora trapped but unabashed Klindt rode the outside to pass - Adam nearly got back but not quite.

Ht 15: HOLDER, PEDERSEN, Howe, Iversen (fell/ex) 1-5 (44-46) 57.7
Poole lost the coin toss and are off 2 and 4. Iversen fell on the 2nd lap as Bjarne led and Holder was 3rd about to go 2nd. Iversen excluded. All down to Howe now! Re-run and victory at the absolute death! Holder 3rd to 1st in a brilliant ride!
